Your data, in plain words.
The short version
- We only collect what you type into our forms or send us by email.
- We use it to tell you about the launch and to answer you. Nothing else.
- We don’t sell it, rent it or share it for advertising. Ever.
- This website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics.
- You can ask us to see, fix or delete your data at any time: [email protected].
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Evoluv, the team running the website withevoluv.com. In this policy, “Evoluv”, “we” and “us” refer to the controller.
For anything about your data, including a request to know who exactly handles it, write to [email protected].
2. What we collect
When you sign up as a business
Your name, email address, type of business, team size and, if you choose to tell us, what slows your work down.
When you sign up as a startup
Your name, work email, startup name, website (optional), the sectors you serve and a short description of what you do.
When you email us
Your email address, your name if included, and whatever you write to us.
When you visit the website
Like any website, our hosting provider automatically receives technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure: IP address, browser type, device, pages requested and time of the request. We don’t use this to identify you or build a profile.
Please don’t send us sensitive information (for example about health, religion or political opinions). We don’t need it and don’t ask for it.
3. Why we use it, on what legal basis, and for how long
Keeping you on our pre-launch list and contacting you about the launch (sign-up forms)
Legal basis: Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
How long: Until launch communications are complete, and in any case no longer than 24 months from your sign-up, unless you become a user or ask us to delete it sooner.
For startups: assessing your solution and preparing your listing at launch
Legal basis: Steps you asked us to take before a possible agreement, and your consent.
How long: As above. If you join the platform, the terms of that service will apply.
Answering your emails and requests
Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, or steps you asked us to take.
How long: For as long as the conversation needs, then up to 24 months after the last message.
Running the website safely (security, preventing abuse and spam)
Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.
How long: Technical logs are kept by Cloudflare for short periods under its own policy.
Meeting legal obligations and defending legal claims
Legal basis: Legal obligation and our legitimate interest.
How long: Only as long as the law requires or the matter lasts.
When we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by writing to us. This doesn’t affect what we did before you withdrew it. We don’t use your data for automated decisions or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who handles your data for us
We use a few trusted service providers to run the site and our email. They act on our behalf (as “processors”), only for the purposes above, under their data processing terms. We don’t share your data with anyone else, except if required by law or to protect our rights.
-
Cloudflare, Inc.
Hosts the website, protects it from attacks and routes email sent to our address.
Data involved: Technical data of every visit (IP address, browser, pages requested); emails you send us.
-
Web3Forms
Receives what you type in our sign-up forms and delivers it to our inbox.
Data involved: Everything you enter in a form, plus technical data of the submission.
-
Google LLC (Gmail)
Our mailbox, where sign-ups and emails are stored and read.
Data involved: Sign-ups and all email correspondence with us.
-
Sendinblue SAS (Brevo)
Sends the emails we write to you.
Data involved: Your email address and the content of our emails to you.
5. Transfers to other countries
Some of these providers, or their own suppliers, process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. When personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred to a country without an equivalent level of protection, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for certified companies) or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with the providers’ additional safeguards. You can ask us for more information.
6. Cookies and tracking
This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, tracking pixels or similar technologies, and doesn’t load content from social networks. Fonts and images are served from our own site. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots; it isn’t used for tracking and doesn’t require consent. That’s why you don’t see a cookie banner.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- know whether we hold data about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict how we use it, or object to uses based on our legitimate interest;
- receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To use any of them, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month, free of charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
If you think we’ve handled your data wrongly, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the country where you live or work, or where you think the problem happened.
8. How we protect your data
The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Data is kept in accounts protected by strong passwords and two-step verification, and only the people running Evoluv can access it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we will act quickly and inform you and the authorities where the law requires.
9. Children
Evoluv is meant for businesses and the people who run or work in them. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us their data, write to us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy when the service changes, for example at launch. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we’ll tell you by email before it applies.
